SHORT DESCRIPTION

Controlled transformer-type shunting reactors (USRT) combine a step-down transformer and a thyristor-reactor group STK and is a conventional two-winding transformer with a short-circuit voltage of 100%. Regulation of the ignition angles of thyristor valves connected in parallel to the secondary winding ensures a change in current from zero to the nominal value in the secondary and, accordingly, the primary winding of the USRT. At the same time, the power of thyristor valves is equal to the rated power of the USRT.
